Nyan Feder

est Originally from a little key, south of Miami, called "Plantation," Nyan has been playing music for the better part of a lifetime. He learned his first chord on the guitar at 2, and started performing his first songs at 5 (since then he has learned many more chords, and more every day). Nowadays he is inspired by the outdoors and a nice mountainscape; this being a primary muse for the sounds in his songs/songwriting. His goal is to present to you, the listener, what feels like and what it sounds like in his own head when he gets a rush of awe and wonder from a beautiful life moment. Playing with sounds of euphoric wistfulness and warm floaty hugs.

Nyan grew up playing shows with his dad, David Feder, in-town and on the road. By 12 he had co-headlined international guitar festivals in Mexico and toured around the United States as a duo with his dad. High school was much of the same, including many bands and many gigs around town. 

He carried on to earn a degree in Jazz at Florida State University, this time studying the Tenor Saxophone. This instrument change offered even more opportunity to play shows around Tallahassee, FL and surrounding areas. Carrying on in this fashion, Nyan moved to Nashville, TN where he continued to tour for other artists at the professional level for years, until setting his sights on his own project.

What you hear now is an amalgamation of a life spent playing music crossing an entire spectrum of genre, and the inspiration of new instruments and sounds of the wild world. It's no exaggeration that what you hear in his songwriting will be somehow both surprising and familiar. Nyan continues to write in the flow of whatever muse decides to hit him in whichever way, which results in an exciting new sound with every song.
